Warranty provider

This warranty is provided by:

Nautilux Dive Torches
Email: support@nautilux.com.au

Warranty period

Nautilux warrants its torches against defects in materials and workmanship for 18 months from the original date of purchase.

Proof of purchase may be required. This can include an order confirmation, tax invoice, receipt or another reasonable record of purchase.

Warranty registration is not required to receive coverage.

What is covered

Subject to the conditions below, the warranty covers manufacturing defects affecting:

  • The torch housing
  • LED and internal electronics
  • Magnetic or mechanical switch components
  • Lens and reflector
  • Factory-installed seals and components
  • The rechargeable battery supplied with the torch
  • The charger or charging cable supplied with the torch

Battery failure caused by a manufacturing defect is covered. A gradual reduction in battery capacity resulting from normal use and ageing is not considered a manufacturing defect.

What is not covered

This warranty does not cover faults or damage resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Normal battery-capacity degradation
  • Accidents, impacts or damage exceeding the product’s stated specifications
  • Misuse, neglect or use contrary to the supplied instructions
  • Failure to completely tighten the torch before entering the water
  • Sand, hair, dirt or other debris interfering with an O-ring or sealing surface
  • Cut, twisted, flattened, missing or improperly fitted O-rings
  • Failure to inspect, clean or reasonably maintain the torch and its seals
  • Opening, modifying or attempting to repair sealed or non-user-serviceable components
  • Use of incompatible batteries, chargers or accessories
  • Corrosion or contamination resulting from inadequate rinsing or maintenance
  • Loss or theft
  • Cosmetic marks, scratches, fading or surface wear that do not affect operation
  • Damage caused by circumstances outside Nautilux’s reasonable control

O-rings and other replaceable seals are wear items. Manufacturing defects affecting these components are covered, but deterioration or damage caused by normal use, contamination or improper maintenance is not.

Water ingress is covered when it results from a manufacturing defect. It is not covered when caused by incorrect assembly, insufficient tightening, damaged or contaminated O-rings, improper maintenance or user modification.

Assessment and remedy

Nautilux will assess warranty claims within a reasonable time after receiving the information or product required for inspection.

  • Repairing the product
  • Replacing the defective product or component
  • Providing an equivalent replacement where the original product is unavailable
  • Providing another remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law

Any replacement provided under this voluntary warranty will be covered for the remainder of the original 18-month warranty period. This does not limit any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Return expenses

If inspection finds that the product is operating correctly or that the problem is not covered by this warranty, the customer may be responsible for return delivery costs. Nautilux will discuss these costs with the customer before returning the product.
