Nautilux is an Australian dive torch brand built for real world diving. Our torches are designed, tested, and refined by divers who rely on their equipment when light matters most.
From long days chasing lobsters and spearfishing to demanding night dives and freediving sessions, Nautilux focuses on clarity, reliability and durability that performs consistently dive after dive.
How Nautilux Began
For Nautilux founder Alastair, it all began in pursuit of the Southern Rock Lobster, an iconic cave and ledge dwelling species found along the South Australian coastline.
After years of using multiple big name dive torches, it became clear that many simply did not perform where it mattered. They struggled to properly light caves and ledges, lacked the runtime needed for long days in the water and often broke after minor knocks against rocks and reef.
Built by the Dive Community
As an active and well known member of the local dive community, and a founding member of the Gulf Skindivers Spearfishing Club in 2018, Alastair understood these frustrations were shared by many divers.
With the help of a small group of dive buddies, the decision was made to have a crack at building something better. Nautilux was shaped through shared dives, honest feedback and real conversations with divers who demanded equipment they could trust.
Tested in Real Conditions
Since 2019, Nautilux has tested hundreds of torches and, with the support of the local dive community, completed thousands of hours of real world testing across numerous design versions.
Every torch has been pushed in real conditions. Caves, ledges, surge, murky water and long dive days where failure is not an option.

Love the big torch, so bright and great for grabbing those huge crays in the back of the ledge. Can see everything with one of these torches. Even abused, they are great, had no problems and dropped it a couple times but all works fine still. Would highly recommend these torches.

Cray diving is something I’m becoming more and more confident with, and with a nautilux torch in hand it has 100% made hunting for the crays much more easier! I have the powerhouse and love that I can easily swim along the bottom, lighting up the ledges until I spot a prized treat waiting in hiding. It’s also great that I don’t have to worry about the torch going flat or loosing brightness as it has amazing battery life and can cope well with the rough handling that comes with checking ledges. It’s also great to have on hand (or in my wetsuit pocket) when doing spearing- lighting up ledges and caves when on the hunt for nannygai, Ling and other quality species.

Solid torch with enough power to light up ledges when you’re cruising past which makes it easier to locate cray holes. The battery reserve is quite decent and the beam strength is adjustable to give you more time diving! The torch resists corrosion well and seem to have any parts that can break or fail. Would recommend to anyone cray diving or exploring caves.
