Welcome to the Nautilux Community
Before your first dive, prepare your torch correctly and fully charge your torch. The battery is supplied at a safe storage charge and is not fully charged on arrival.
Looking After Your Torch 101
Following a simple routine before and after every dive will help keep your Nautilux torch performing reliably.
Before Every Dive
1. Confirm that your torch is fully charged and operating correctly.
2. Completely tighten every section of the torch housing before entering the water. Check every threaded section, not just the end cap.
After Every Dive
1. Keep the torch completely closed while soaking and rinsing it thoroughly in fresh water. This removes salt, sand and fine debris from around the switch, threads and seals.
2. Allow the torch to dry completely before opening the housing.
3. Recharge your torch after every dive. Lithium-ion batteries should not be stored on a low charge. Disconnect the battery once charging is complete and do not leave it charging longer than necessary.
O-Ring Care
Inspect the O-rings regularly for sand, hair, cuts, flattening or twisting.
Apply a light coating of silicone O-ring lubricant to the rubber seals once a year. Avoid using too much, as excess lubricant can attract sand and debris.
Replace any damaged O-ring before taking the torch underwater.
Following these simple steps will help ensure reliable, long-term performance from your Nautilux torch.
