Q: What is the expected lifetime of a Nautilux torch?

A: We have complete confidence in our products and proudly stand behind our gear. Since our establishment in 2019, we are unaware of any torch that has failed outside its warranty period and have never had reports of cracked or broken glass lenses.

Simply put, every torch that has not been lost at sea is still performing as intended all these years later and you can expect the same.

Lasts for half a day of harder use or a full day of light use when used intermittently between surface intervals.

Power consumption should always be managed well by turning on and off at the appropriate times to extend the run times.

For those longer hard dive days we recommend carrying a spare battery for peace of mind.

What about the Nautilux batteries and charging?

Q: How do I get the most life out of my battery?

A: Lithium-ion batteries do not like being stored at low charge. Always recharge your torch after each dive before storing it, and do not leave it on charge longer than necessary. Following these simple steps will help ensure long-term performance.

Q: Can I swap in spare batteries?

A: Absolutely. Our Spare batteries are perfect for multi day dive trips, those times when you arrive to the dive site and realise the torch has been left on or keep on hand to use The Pocket Rocket all day and dive with complete peace of mind.

Q: How long does the overall life cycle last?

A: Our batteries are rated for over 500 charge cycles, and many torches purchased when we launched in late 2019 are still going strong. With proper care, such as recharging after each use, you can expect your battery to provide many years of reliable performance.

Q: Are all Nautilux torches rechargeable?

A: Yes. All Nautilux torches use rechargeable lithium-ion batteries with high cell capacity. They are purpose-built to deliver maximum output, stable brightness, and long-lasting reliability.

Q: Can I charge the torch without removing the battery?

A: The Pocket Rocket and The Explorer both have USB-C plugs built into the base of the torch and can be charged without removing the battery. The Powerhouse batteries are easily removed and placed in the supplied charging cradle.

How is the Nautilux torch manufactured?

Q: Are the torches wide or narrow beam?

A: All Nautilux torches feature narrow beams to minimise backscatter. These torches are designed to cut through clean or murky water, focusing light where it matters.

Wide beams dissipate quickly and are sometimes useful for close-up photography, but they are not ideal for searching through the water column.

Q: How deep can I dive with my Nautilux torch?

A: All Nautilux torches are IPX-8 rated to 100 metres, suitable for both recreational and advanced diving. Each torch is pressure-tested to ensure reliable performance at depth.

Q: Will my torch break if I drop it or knock it against something?

A: No. Drop-tested to two metres on hard surfaces, Nautilux torches are built to withstand the chaos of boat decks, rocky ledges, gear bags, and concrete ramps. They are designed to bounce back into action immediately.

Q: What materials is the torch made from?

A: We offer spare batteries, clamps, lanyards, and other accessories compatible with Nautilux torches. While you may never need them, we also keep spare components for every part of our torches on hand, so you can be confident that replacements are always available if required.

Do Nautilux torches have warranty and can I return if I change my mind?

A: Yes. All Nautilux products are backed by a one-year warranty for that extra peace of mind but we stand by our products and will always try to help out if possible.

A: Please contact us immediately at support@nautilux.com.au if the item you receive is defective, damaged, or not the item you ordered. We will work to resolve the issue promptly.

Q: Can I return my order if I change my mind?

A: Yes. We have a 14-day returns policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it and unused.

Please note: we do not cover the shipping cost for return items. When returning a product, please use a tracked postage method.

Q: How do i make sure my torch lasts for a long time?

A: To ensure your torch remains reliable and long-lasting:

Always tighten all torch housings completely before entering the water.

Rinse and soak the torch in fresh water after each use.

Lithium-ion batteries do not like being stored at low charge so always recharge your torch after each dive before storing it, and do not leave it on charge longer than necessary.

Q: Do I need to service the O-rings?

A: Yes. Periodically check the O-rings for debris or damage. Apply silicone grease as needed, or at least once a year, to maintain a secure waterproof seal.
